As the holiday weekend approaches, it seems reasonable to think that someone may be planning to spend Sunday at the shore.

So, we have added to the Sunday service to make it so great that you will come to church before you head for the beach :)

The choir has two remarkable pieces that they will offer. 'Glorious' is worship to a modified samba. And we'll ask you to stand in case you want to dance!

And 'Sing to the Lord a New Song' has a new arrangement that Enrique Haneine designed. It is so good that it made me catch my breath to listen.

And we will also will bring in a flugelhorn to offer 'Give Me Your Tired Your Poor' The flugelhorn is a modified bugle and it notes combine mourning and hope -- mourning for where our nation is short and hope for what it will become. We will try to get this piece recorded Sunday so that you can hear it on the Messages page of the web site next week.

So cancel that breakfast at Tiffany's. Start the holiday weekend at Community Church. And for those of you away from town, stay safe and keep close.
